Apple Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2-1/2 cups flour
    1 cup shortening (1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup lard)
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg yolk (beaten in cup and fill to 2/3 with milk)
Preparation
    Mix ingredients and chill in refrigerator.
    Divide dough in 2 parts.
    Roll out like pie crust and line the bottom of a 10 x 15 inch pan.
    Sprinkle crust with 2 handfuls of corn flakes.
