Janell'S Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. pinto beans, soaked overnight in water
    2 lb. lean, cooked ham
    1/2 lb. lean salt pork
    1 large onion, chopped
    4 cloves garlic, minced (less may be used)
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 tsp. cumin
    1 small can Ortega taco sauce (1/2 to 1 c.)
    1 small can diced green chiles
    1 large can tomatoes, cut up
Preparation
    Cut ham into small pieces.
    Add all ingredients to the beans, adding just enough water to cover beans.
    Cook slowly until done (5 to 6 hours).
