Carol'S Pasta Fagoli(Serves 6 To 8) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 medium onion, chopped
    3 garlic cloves, chopped
    1 (30 oz.) can tomatoes in puree
    1 tsp. dried oregano
    pinch of hot pepper flakes
    2 c. chicken broth
    2 (16 oz.) cans kidney beans, drained
    8 oz. spaghetti, broken into fourths
    salt and pepper to taste
    grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    In a large Dutch oven, heat oil over medium heat.
    Add onion; cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
    Add garlic; cook for 1 minute longer. Add tomatoes, oregano, hot pepper flakes and broth.
    Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
    Add beans and simmer for 10 minutes.
