Old-Fashioned Sour Cream Pound Cake - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. butter (no substitute)
3 c. sugar
6 large eggs, beaten
1 c. sour cream
3 c. flour, sifted
1/4 tsp. soda
Preparation

Preheat oven to 214\u00b0.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add beaten eggs and sour cream.
Mix flour and soda together and add gradually to butter mixture.
Beat until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
Bake in a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan for 1 hour and 10 minutes (mixture will not fit in a Bundt pan).
