Frosted Holiday Egg Nog - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 qt. milk
    1 c. whipping cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat eggs well with electric mixer.
    Add sugar and salt and blend well.
    Add milk and mix thoroughly.
    Chill before serving unless the milk is very cold.
    Just before serving, whip the cream and add vanilla.
    Pour egg nog into chilled punch bowl and top with mounds of whipped cream.
    Garnish punch bowl with a sprig of holly if desired.
    Makes 16 to 20 servings.
