Caramel Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    45 caramels
    8 Tbsp. evaporated milk
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. oatmeal
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. butter
    3/4 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. chocolate chips
    3/4 c. nuts
Preparation
    Melt caramels and evaporated milk or cream.
    Mix flour, oatmeal, sugar, butter, soda and salt.
    Mix well.
    Pat 3/4 of this crumb mixture in 9 x 13-inch pan or 9 x 15-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes only.
    On this sprinkle chocolate chips and chopped nutmeats.
    Spread caramel mixture over this and smooth with a knife.
    Sprinkle (don't pat) rest of crumb mixture and bake 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
