Date Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 (8 oz.) box dates
2 tsp. soda
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 c. nuts

Preparation

Mix dates and soda. Cover with 2 cups boiling water (cool). Cream 2 cups sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla, flour and nuts. Mix this mixture with dates mixture. Bake in tube pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
