My Boy Scout Camp Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hamburger
    1 onion
    1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
    10 medium potatoes, diced
    1 can tomatoes (optional)
Preparation
    First
    soap
    the
    outside
    of the pot so the smoke will wash off
    easier.
    Brown
    the hamburger in the pot; add onion and
    cook until
    soft.
    Dump
    in the rest of ingredients plus 1-quart of water.
    Simmer until the vegetables are done.
    This may be cooked on top of the range or a wood stove.
