Date Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    pinch of salt
    1 pkg. seeded dates, chopped
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
    1 pkg. Angel Flake coconut
Preparation
    Chop dates.
    Put all ingredients into a 2-quart pan.
    Stir over heat until blended.
    Cook 3 to 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and Rice Krispies.
    Dip small portion at a time. Roll into ball, then roll in the coconut.
