Ingredients

1/3 c. lightly salted butter, softened
1/3 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2 c. granulated sugar
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 egg
2 Tbsp. milk
1 Tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Lightly grease an 8 x 8-inch baking pan. To make crumb mixture for bottom crust and topping, cream the butter with brown sugar until fluffy.
Cut in flour and nuts. Reserve 1 cup of mixture for topping.
Press remainder into bottom of prepared pan. Bake 12 to 15 minutes until lightly browned.
