Gingersnap Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 egg
    2 c. unsifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 1/2 tsp. ginger
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add egg and molasses.
    Sift flour, soda, salt and spices; add to creamed mixture.
    Roll in balls the size of a teaspoon; dip in sugar.
    Place on a cookie sheet, 3 inches apart.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
