Apple Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 c. pineapple juice
8 medium tart apples, sliced
1 tsp. cornstarch
dash of salt
2 tsp. cold water
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

In saucepan, add sugar and juice; bring to a boil. Add apples; simmer, uncovered, until clear and tender. Do not boil. Take out apples and cool. Make paste of cornstarch, water and salt. Add to syrup; cook until it thickens. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and butter. Put apples into unbaked pie crust. Pour juice over and make a crisscross pie crust top. Bake at 425\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
