Crazy Crust Beef Pie - cooking recipe

1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 egg
Preparation

Grease and flour a 10-inch glass pie pan.
Combine flour, shortening, buttermilk and egg in medium mixing bowl.
Stir until blended (batter will be lumpy).
Spread batter thinly on bottom of pan and thickly up sides to within 1/4-inch of rim.
Fill and bake 20 to 25 minutes at 425\u00b0.
