Thelma'S Italian Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. sirloin tip or boneless rump roast
    1 garlic bud or 1 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 tsp. parsley
    1 tsp. sweet basil
    1 tsp. red pepper
    2 bay leaves
    1/2 c. red cooking wine
    1 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Place meat in covered roaster and add all other ingredients. Bake 3 1/2 to 4 hours at 350\u00b0, covered.
    Remove meat and cool in refrigerator.
    When chilled slice about 1/4 in. slices and return to broth that has been strained and heat to serve.
