Grandmom Hagan'S Jewish Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 medium apples
    3 c. sifted flour
    1 c. oil
    3 tsp. baking powder
    4 large eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. orange juice
    2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan.
    Peel and slice 4 or 5 medium apples.
    Mix apples with 1/2 cup of sugar and 3 teaspoons of cinnamon.
    Set aside.
    Put dry ingredients in a bowl. Make a hole; pour in oil, orange juice and vanilla.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Beat at medium speed.
    Add 1/2 the batter to tube pan, then a layer of apples.
    Pour the rest of the batter, then apples on top of that.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes.
