Boiled Brussels Sprouts - cooking recipe

Brussels sprouts
1 tsp. salt to 1 qt. water
Preparation

Remove wilted leaves and let stand about 30 minutes, head down, in cold salted water (1 teaspoon to 1 quart) to draw out insects; wash well.
Cook, uncovered, in large amount of boiling water 10 to 15 minutes, or until just tender.
Drain, season and serve as desired.
Allow 1 quart (1 1/4 to 1 1/2 pounds) for 6 portions.
