Ingredients

1/2 gal. sorghum
1 1/2 lb. butter or lard
3 lb. seeded raisins, ground
1/2 lb. citron, chopped fine
1 qt. mixed nuts
2 Tbsp. cloves
2 Tbsp. allspice
2 Tbsp. ginger
3 pt. buttermilk
1 qt. brown sugar
1/2 c. soda
2 Tbsp. cinnamon
enough flour to make soft dough (not too stiff)
Preparation

Mix all together.
Let\trise
overnight.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 400\u00b0.
Makes
500 to 600 cookies.
Will keep a year if stored in airtight containers.
