Meat Turnovers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. shortening
    4 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. salt
    1 egg, lightly beaten
    1 1/4 c. water
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1/2 c. chopped olives
    2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
    1/2 c. raisins
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    oil (for frying)
Preparation
    Cut shortening into sifted flour, baking powder and 2 teaspoons salt in bowl.
    Add egg and water, tossing lightly to form a soft dough.
    Chill in refrigerator.
