Dewberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 to 1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch or 4 Tbsp. flour
    dash of salt
    3 c. fresh dewberries
    9-inch unbaked double pie crust or single crust if Crumb Topping is used
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Mix sugar, cornstarch or flour, add salt; sprinkle over fruit in pastry-lined pie pan, or if desired, mix dry ingredients with fruit before putting fruit in pie shell.
    Dot with butter or margarine and adjust top crust.
    Cut slits in top crust.
    If Crumb Topping is used instead of top crust, you may omit the tablespoon of butter to dot fruit.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes.
