Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 c. milk
2 oz. semi-sweet chocolate or cocoa
1/2 c. peanut butter
3 c. quick rolled oats
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation

Boil sugar, butter and milk for 1 minute. Add other ingredients. Mix to blend. Spread in a buttered pan, 8 x 8, to cool. Cut as desired. May be dropped by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper and allowed to cool. Makes 36 cookies.
