Apple Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine, softened
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 Tbsp. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. diced apples
Preparation

Combine margarine and sugar in large mixing bowl, creaming until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and mix well.
Stir in flour and salt.
Dissolve soda in buttermilk; add to batter, mixing well. Spoon into a greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Sprinkle with topping.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until done.
