Strawberry Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. strawberries
    4 c. sugar
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Cook 2 cups sugar in water until the syrup spins a thread when dropped from a spoon.
    Add 2 cups berries and let boil 10 minutes, gently turning the berries occasionally.
    Add 2 more cups sugar and 2 more cups berries and let cook in same manner.
    Remove from heat.
    Pour in shallow pan (glass) to let stand overnight.
    Pour into jars and seal.
