Hilda'S Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 whole cooked chicken, boned and diced
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 lb. oleo
    chicken broth
    3 drops yellow food coloring
    1 c. flour
    water
Preparation
    To make dumpling gravy, cook chicken, bone and dice it.
    Save broth and add water to make 2 quarts.
    In a large kettle, place broth.
    Add coloring and salt.
    Bring to a boil.
    Make a thickening by mixing well melted oleo to flour.
    Add to boiling broth.
    Slowly add diced chicken and stir.
    Ready for dumplings.
