1 x 24 oz. pkg. Frozen, shredded hashbrowns
1 1/2 c. Half and half
1 tsp. Salt
1 Tbsp. Chopped dried chives
1/3 c. Butter, cut into pieces
1/3 c. Grated parmesan cheese
Paprika
Preparation

Microwave the potatoes in the package 10-12 minutes or until steaming hot, turning package over once. Empty the potatoes into a greased 1 1/2 qt. Glass casserole dish. Add half and half, salt and chives. Mix with a fork, place the butter on the top and microwave uncovered for 5-6 minutes or until bubbling. Stir mixture and sprinkle the top with the cheese and paprika. Microwave at 50% power, uncovered 8-9 minutes or until tender. Serves 8.
