Helen'S Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/3 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. shortening
    4 eggs
    2 c. mashed bananas
    1 c. chopped nuts
    4 tsp. buttermilk
Preparation
    Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
    Mix well; set aside.
    Combine sugar and shortening; cream until light and fluffy.
    Add buttermilk and eggs.
    Beat well.
    Stir in dry ingredients alternately with bananas.
    Spoon into 2 greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pans.
    Bake at 325\u00b0.
