Apple - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can pineapple
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 stick margarine
    4 large apples, diced
    1 container Cool Whip
Preparation
    Mix pineapple, sugar and flour.
    Cook until thick.
    Add margarine; let cool.
    Add diced apples one at a time.
    Pour into dish.
    Put Cool Whip on top.
    May cut up cherries on top.
    Place in refrigerator.
    Chill for several hours before serving.
