Mississippi Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. fresh strawberries or frozen unsweetened
    1 c. fresh peaches or frozen unsweetened
    1/3 c. sugar
    3 (4/5 qt.) bottles chilled champagne
Preparation
    Puree strawberries and peaches and mix in sugar.
    Refrigerate at least 30 minutes.
    Spoon into punch bowl and pour champagne over.
    (Place ice ring in bowl if desired.) Float strawberries on top.
