Paul'S Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. lean ground beef
2 large onions, chopped
2 (15 1/2 oz.) cans red kidney beans, undrained
2 (15 1/2 oz.) cans dark red kidney beans, undrained
1 (28 oz.) can peeled Italian style tomatoes, cut up
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
2 (4 oz.) cans diced green chili peppers
1/4 c. chili powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
1/4 tsp. ground red pepper (optional)
1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation

In large Dutch oven, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until meat is brown and onion is tender.
Drain off fat.
Stir in the undrained beans, tomatoes and green chili peppers.
Add the chili powder, garlic powder, oregano, ground red pepper and the pepper.
Bring to boiling.
Reduce heat.
Simmer, uncovered, about 1 1/4 hours, or until desired consistency, stirring occasionally. Makes 12 (1-cup servings) with 226 calories, 17 g fat, 27 mg cholesterol and 10 g fiber.
