My Favorite Butter Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 lb. butter, softened
2 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
6 c. all-purpose flour
colored sprinkles for garnish (optional)
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels (chips)
1 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
In a pot, melt butter and brown sugar. Add to granulated sugar and vanilla extract.
Mix well.
Beat in eggs.
Gradually beat in flour mixture.
Stir in chocolate morsels (chips) and chopped nuts.
