Steak Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. water
    2 small onions, chopped
    3 ribs celery, chopped
    2 carrots, sliced
    30 oz. can tomatoes
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
    4 c. diced potatoes
    1 lb. ground beef or finely diced roast meat, browned and drained
    2 to 4 Tbsp. beef bouillon granules
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Place all ingredients except butter and flour in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
    One hour before serving, turn to high setting.
    Make a roux of melted butter and flour. Pour into soup and stir until thickened.
