Foamy Pudding Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs, separated
    boiling water
    vanilla or brandy
Preparation
    Beat egg whites dry, adding a little sugar when beaten stiff, and continue beating until thick.
    Add remaining sugar to yolks and beat.
    Add 2 tablespoons boiling water to yolks and continue beating well.
    Add to beaten whites and beat until smooth.
    Add flavoring of 1 teaspoon vanilla or 1/4 cup of brandy.
    Beat enough to mix.
    Serve on pudding.
