Shrimp Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 pieces chopped celery
    3 medium onions, chopped
    4 cloves garlic, chopped
    2 green peppers, chopped
    1 can stewed tomatoes
    1 can crab meat
    2 to 3 lb. frozen peeled shrimp
    1 bay leaf
    1 lb. okra, sliced
    1/8 tsp. basil
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/2 c. parsley
    hot pepper to taste
    1/4 c. file gumbo
Preparation
    Make a roux of 1/2 cup oil and 1/3 cup flour; brown in skillet until dark.
    Set aside.
    In a large stew pot, put all vegetables and spices.
    Add enough water or chicken broth to cover. Cook until tender. Add roux, shrimp and crab meat. Continue cooking over medium heat 10 minutes.
    Serve with cooked rice.
    May freeze leftovers.
