Fresh Homemade Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    beef bone
    1 beef bouillon cube
    1 c. sliced fresh okra or 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen sliced okra
    3 medium ears fresh corn, cut from ears or 2/3 c. canned corn
    3 fresh tomatoes, chopped
    3 c. shredded cabbage
    3 medium carrots, sliced
    3 stalks celery, sliced
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. bacon or fatback drippings
Preparation
    Place all ingredients in 6 quart saucepot.
    Add 1 quart water. Bring to a
    boil;\treduce\tto
    medium
    heat and cover. Cook 2 hours,
    stirring
    occasionally.
    Adjust
    seasoning\tto taste. Serve with cornbread.
    Makes 4 servings.
