Italian Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. active dry yeast (1 pkg.)
1 3/4 c. warm water (110~ to 115~)
1 tsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp. salt
4 to 5 c. unbleached all-purpose flour
extra virgin olive oil (for oiling bowl)
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup of warm water; add sugar.
Allow yeast to proof (foam) about 10 minutes.
Add remaining 1 1/2 cups water, salt and 1 tablespoon olive oil.
Add flour 1 cup at a time until mixture forms a ball (you may not need all the flour). Knead dough on floured work surface for 5 to 10 minutes until shiny and elastic.
