Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef, cubed
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    6 small onions (whole)
    3 potatoes, quartered
    2 Tbsp. seasoned flour
    1 can tomato soup
    1 soup can water
    6 small carrots, halved
Preparation
    Dust meat with flour; brown in shortening in large pan.
    Add soup and water.
    Cover and simmer 1 hour and 30 minutes.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Cover and cook 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
    To thicken, uncover.
