Windsor Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small can crushed pineapple
    1 envelope Knox gelatine, dissolved in 1/2 c. cold water
    juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 (3 oz.) or 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 small bottle maraschino cherries
    1/2 pt. whipped cream (1 pkg. Dream Whip or Cool Whip)
Preparation
    Put sugar, pineapple and lemon juice in saucepan.
    Heat to boiling point.
    Add gelatine dissolved in water to this and let cool.
    Mix cream cheese with some cherry juice; blend.
    Add cherries that have been cut into pieces.
    When gelatine mixture is cool, add cheese/cherry mixture, then fold in whipped cream. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
