Pierogi Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 lasagna noodles
    4 to 5 medium potatoes
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    3/4 c. butter
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cook lasagna noodles; drain.
    Rinse with cold water.
    Drain again.
    Cook and mash potatoes.
    Add cheese, salt and pepper. Place 3 lasagna noodles in greased pan.
    Add half of potatoes. Top with 3 lasagna noodles.
    Repeat with remaining potatoes and noodles.
    Saute onion in butter and pour over casserole.
    Bake 20 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
