Ingredients

2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. soda
1 c. Crisco
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. peanut butter
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
Preparation

Blend all ingredients well, then add flour.
Mix well.
Roll dough balls to the size of walnuts.
Place on cookie sheet and crisscross with fork dipped in flour.
Bake at 375\u00b0 until bottom of cookies are just lightly browned or about 9 minutes.
Leave on sheets for 1 minute, then transfer to wax paper to set up and cool.
Cookie should be soft and chewy without falling apart.
