Jello Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar, mixed with 3 c. hot water
    1 qt. pineapple juice
    1/2 c. lemon juice
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. raspberry or strawberry jello, mixed with 2 c. hot water
Preparation
    Cook sugar and water until just clear, 1 to 2 minutes.
    Do not make syrup.
    Add jello water, then pineapple juice, then lemon juice.
    Put in coffee cans and freeze.
    At serving time, defrost just long enough to make a slush-type drink.
    Just before serving, add 1 quart of ginger ale.
