Extra-Easy Microwave Lasagne - cooking recipe

1 (28 oz.) can Italian tomatoes, chopped
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
1 tsp. dried oregano leaves
1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
1 lb. bulk pork sausage
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (1 1/2 oz.) pkg. spaghetti sauce mix
1 (16 oz.) container cottage cheese
4 c. uncooked medium noodles
1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded Mozzarella cheese
Preparation

Puree tomatoes with tomato paste in blender until smooth. Stir in parsley, oregano and basil; set aside.
In a 2-quart baking dish, break up sausage with spoon.
Stir in onion and garlic.
Cover with wax paper and microwave 4 minutes on High setting.
Stir and microwave 4 more minutes or until sausage loses its pink color.
Pour off fat and stir in half of the spaghetti sauce mix.
Spoon cottage cheese evenly over sausage mixture. Arrange noodles on top.
Sprinkle with remaining spaghetti sauce mix.
Pour tomato mixture over noodles.
Press down gently with spoon to be sure all the noodles are moistened.
Cover with wax paper.
Microwave on High for 10 minutes.
Rotate dish 1/4 turn. Microwave 10 more minutes or until noodles are tender.
Sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese.
Microwave, uncovered, for 2 minutes more or until cheese melts.
Makes 8 servings.
