Chicken With Rice And Raisins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 lb.) frying chicken, cut up
    3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 c. uncooked rice
    1/2 c. seedless raisins
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1 tsp. paprika
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 (1 lb.) can stewed tomatoes
    2 Tbsp. chicken stock base
    1 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Brown chicken on all sides in hot oil.
    Remove chicken.
    Add onion to drippings; brown lightly.
    Add remaining ingredients; mix well.
    Put chicken in 2-quart casserole dish.
    Top with tomato-rice mixture.
    Cover and bake in hot oven (400\u00b0) for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally and adding water if necessary. Makes 4 servings.
