Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. light brown sugar
1 egg yolk
2 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. vanilla
6 (1 oz.) chocolate bars (without nuts)
3/4 c. walnuts, chopped fine
Preparation

Cream butter and brown sugar.
Add a slightly beaten egg yolk, flour and vanilla.
Mix well and spread 1/4-inch thick in a long, flat baking pan (preferably a jelly roll pan).
Bake for 18 to 20 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
