Ingredients

1/2 lb. oleo
2 c. chopped pecans
1 Tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. unbleached ceresota flour
5 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
confectioners sugar
Preparation

Cream butter; add sugar, vanilla and water.
Sift flour and salt together, then add in butter mixture.
Add pecans and mix thoroughly.
Using portions the size of walnuts, roll into crescent shaped cookies.
Bake for 20 minutes at 325\u00b0.
While warm, roll in confectioners sugar.
(Mix will look like cornmeal and these cookies will not rise or turn brown.)
