Applesauce Loaf Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. flour
3 Tbsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. mace
1 c. sugar
1 c. applesauce
1 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Cream shortening; add sugar and mix well.
Add eggs, lemon juice, applesauce and then dry ingredients, stirring only enough to dampen all the flour mixture.
Add nuts.
Bake in a greased loaf pan at 350\u00b0 for about 1 hour.
