Brazil Nut Cake - cooking recipe

3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 lb. pitted dates
3 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. Brazil nuts
1 c. maraschino cherries, drained
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Grease 9 x 9 x 5-inch loaf pan and line with waxed paper. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
In a large bowl, mix nuts, dates and cherries.
Sift flour mixture over fruit and nut mixture.
Mix with hands until nuts and fruits are well coated.
Beat 3 eggs until foamy.
Add vanilla.
Pour over other mixture and blend well.
Put into pan, packing evenly.
