Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe

3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2/3 to 1 c. buttermilk
1 c. mashed bananas
2 to 3 eggs
1 c. walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. brown sugar
Preparation

Sift together flour, soda, salt and spices.
Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs, beating thoroughly.
Add dry ingredients, stirring well.
Add milk.
Fold in bananas, nuts and vanilla. Bake in 9 x 13-inch or 3 (9-inch) cake pans, greased and floured. Bake at 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0 for 25 to 35 minutes.
