Boston Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dry navy pea beans
    1/2 lb. salt pork, cut up into small pieces
    1/2 c. Grandma's dark molasses
    1/4 c. Grandma's regular molasses
    1/2 tsp. dry mustard
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 small onion, chopped
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    4 Tbsp. brown sugar
    4 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Soak beans overnight and drain.
    Gently cook beans in about 2 quarts water until tender, about 1 1/2 hours.
    Add more hot water if necessary to keep beans covered.
    Drain beans and save some of the liquid.
    Mix beans with all other ingredients.
    Cover and bake at 325\u00b0 for 3 to 4 hours.
    Add some of the saved liquid if beans become dry while cooking.
