Peach Long Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/4 to 4 c. sliced peaches
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. butter
    1 large egg
    2/3 c. milk
    1/2 c. soft butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    6 Tbsp. flour
Preparation
    Mix peaches with 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon.
    Let stand at room temperature. Sift together the flour and baking powder. Blend in 6 tablespoons sugar, salt and butter.
    Combine egg and milk. Stir into flour mixture and blend well. Spread dough into well-greased 9 x 7-inch pan.
    You may double the recipe for a 13 x 9-inch pan. Top with peaches and juice.
    Cream together the butter, 1/2 cup sugar and 6 tablespoons flour.
    Drop here and there over peaches. Bake 35 minutes at 400\u00b0.
    Serve with Cool Whip, ice cream or milk on top.
