Toffee Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1 c. margarine, softened
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg yolk
    2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    4 oz. or more milk chocolate candy, broken up
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix brown sugar, margarine, vanilla and egg yolk until smooth.
    Sift flour and salt together.
    Stir into sugar mixture.
    Press into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake until very light brown, 25 to 30 minutes.
    (Note:
    The crust will be soft.)
    Immediately place pieces of chocolate evenly over crust; when it becomes
    soft, spread it evenly over top.
    Sprinkle the nuts on top.
    Cut into bars while still warm.
