Best Cracker Jacks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/2 c. light syrup
    1 stick butter or oleo
    pinch of cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    5 qt. popped popcorn
    1 c. salted peanuts
Preparation
    Boil syrup, butter and cream of tartar for 5 minutes.
    Quickly stir in soda.
    Add peanuts to popcorn.
    Pour syrup over corn.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Spread on 2 lightly greased cookie sheets.
    Bake in slow oven at 200\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    Stir every 10 minutes.
    Take out and cool.
